Artist Statement
I am a lifelong student of art, changing expression as I change and my environment changes.  Raised in museums and art galleries of Los Angeles, I studied at Otis Art Institute as a young child. Some of my favorite painters then remain inspirations now-- Bonnard and Vuillard.

As an adult, I was an educator, but would rise at 4 a.m. daily to paint before work.  Traveling allowed me to wander cities, such as Paris, that I had long known from Impressionist paintings. One of my most memorable experiences was fifteen minutes alone with Monet's Water Lilies in the  Musée de l'Orangerie, Paris.

Moving from the island forests of the Pacific Northwest, I was inspired by Taos Mountain and the prospect of painting in Taos.  Here I am!
